Brian Sager is co-founder and CEO of Omnity, a next generation search and discovery tool designed to enable knowledge workers to discover otherwise hidden patterns of interconnectedness within and between fields of knowledge to reveal unique insights that sharpen focus and drive innovation.
A serial entrepreneur with a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Stanford University, Brian previously founded a solar panel manufacturing company enabled by nanotechnology, where he raised more than $500 million in funding, and for over ten years served in a range of roles including research and development strategy, product development, intellectual property management, corporate development, government affairs, finance, and sales.
Brian also led a high-growth biotechnology practice at Ernst & Young, where he advised private and public companies at all stages of maturity on corporate finance issues, R&D portfolio management, M&A, and technology licensing. Brian was an individual network member of Global Business Network and Monitor Company, a global strategy consulting company (now part of Deloitte), where he contributed to a wide range of scenario planning projects for companies in the biotechnology, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
While at Stanford, Brian was a National Science Foundation Predoctoral Fellow. He did his postdoctoral work at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard University, where he was a Whitney Fellow. He has been a Principal Investigator for substantial research contracts from the Department of Defense and DARPA, the Department of Energy, and the National Science Foundation. He has more than 120 patents issued or pending.
Brian is also a composer and producer of both symphonic (newclassical.com) and electronic music (sonatronic.com). He collaborates with DJs and classical musicians globally.
